Everyone Is Talking About Olivia Rodrigo's New Album!

It’s been 3 full days of digesting Olivia Rodrigo’s album, Guts… and I love that she stays true to her age (she is 20)!

She literally sings… “I know my age and I act like it” in “All American B****”

Check out these lyrics: “Everything I do is tragic/ every guy I like is gay”. That is from “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl”. Everything about this song is just so relatable. If you’ve ever lied awake at night thinking about that one embarrassing thing you said several years ago.

But her song “Get Him Back” is really hitting home for most of us! It doesn’t matter if you’re a teenager or a senior citizen… everyone can relate to being in love with the wrong person who’s completely wrong for you, but you just want to get him back!

Two standout lyrics in this track are: “But I am my father’s daughter so maybe I can fix him”. Olivia’s dad is a therapist, so this lyric really cuts deep!

But my favorite line is probably… “I wanna meet his mom/ just to tell her her son sucks”. Anytime you bring parents into a song… that is a baller move!
