Buckle up guys! It's going to be a bold year. Planning your purchases for the new year? Pinterest has released its 2025 trend predictions, and you might want to keep fun, color, and self-expression in focus.
Forget clean girl beauty, quiet luxury and minimalism, according to Pinterest, 2025 is about being bold, fun, and loud. While it can be hard to accurately predict trends, Pinterest has a pretty good track record, forecasting the eclectic grandpa and western Gothic trends last year.
So forget cheap tricks, short flings, and meaningless interactions! 2025 is all about being bold and backing it up.
We can’t wait to try out these trends in the new year:
#1. Sea Witchery - Get into your siren energy with sultry siren makeup, wet wavy hair, and moody mermaid manicures. Take on the beauty trend with blue hues, iridescent glows, and pearl and shell accessories.
#2. Goddess Complex: 2025 is the year of treating yourself like the goddess you are, and this self-love will filter into your beauty regime. We’ll be seeing gold everywhere, from our eyelids, nails, and jewelry to our wellness routines, with things like gold facials and skincare tools.
#3. Aura Beauty - We're bringing color back to our makeup in 2025. Fun gradient lip looks, bold eye makeup, and colourful glitters will be replacing 'no-makeup' makeup.
#4. Cherry Coded - The cherry obsession is set to continue into the new year. Deep red manicures, wine-coloured lip liners, and dainty cherry accessories are expected to be everywhere in 2025.
#5. Primary Play - We’ll tap into our inner child with hand-painted tablecloths and furniture, fun murals, and bright colours and patterns incorporated throughout our homes.
#6. Peak Travel - get away from cities and back to nature, with mountain ranges to become the ‘go-to travel destination’. Think treetop views, hillside picnics and the most incredible sunrises. Get your hiking boots ready.
#7. Pickle Fix - Pickles will have their moment in 2025. After years of being picked off burgers, the tangy dill will be reimagined into so many dishes from pickle cheese toasties, fried pickles, and pickle dips to spicy pickle margaritas.
