A mother planned to name her daughter Elizabeth Anya [[Ahn-Yuh]] Jane, but didn’t think about the aftermath of how her nickname might sound. They call the infant Liz and her sister pointed out that with her middle name, Anya, it sounds like “Lasagna” aka Liz-Anya.
While she was pregnant, her husband’s mom died, so she decided to use her name, Anya [[Ahn-Yuh]] as the middle name, but now the mom is having serious regrets and turned to Reddit for some advice.
Finding the perfect name for your child is something that parents takes seriously and sometimes they think they nailed it, but in this case, not so much. Mom does not want her daughter to get teased at school when the time comes so she and her husband are going to legally change the name to Elizabeth Jane Anya to avoid the unfortunate nickname.
