Matthew Scales, the Executive Director of Visit Harford, was born and raised in Harford County Maryland. A graduate of Towson University for his bachelor’s and master’s degree, Matthew previously worked for the Maryland Office of Tourism as a public relations specialist. He currently serves on several boards, Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance (MATPRA), Harford County Chamber of Commerce and the Havre de Grace Tourism Advisory Board, to name a few. Matthew resides in Harford County currently with his wife and two kids. Matthew is excited every day to wake up and work with his fantastic team to inspire visitors to Harford County, Maryland.
