White Claw and Truly may have some competition on their hands this summer because a new hard-seltzer is here and it’s not like anything those industry giants are serving up. Sure they’ve got all kinds of tasty flavors, from fruit punch to iced tea, but they don’t have any savory snack flavors. And that’s where drinkwear company BrüMate and adult beverage maker Crook & Marker come in.
They’ve teamed up on a new hard seltzer called “Afternoon Dillight Hard Pickle Seltzer.” Yep, it’s a dill pickle-flavored boozy seltzer. The idea of it may be a little hard to swallow and it actually started as an April Fool’s Day joke last year. On April 1st, 2020, BrüMate joked on Instagram that they’d be releasing a pickle hard seltzer and within 24-hours, they had 10-thousand email sign-ups expressing serious interest in the product.
“Afternoon Dillight” will be available this summer as a limited release. It’s the first flavor in their "Crook’d Brü Series," which will put out limited-edition flavors. The pickle seltzer will come in 21-packs that advertise the flavor as “a really big dill.”
