When it comes to infidelity, discretion is key if you don’t want your significant other finding out. But it seems some folks like to brag about their indiscretions, and there’s a place on Reddit where they can do so guilt free.
Believe it or not, there’s a group on the social media site called Cheaters that actually has more than 4,000 members. The subreddit is a place for “discussions about cheating in modern relationships with understanding.”
Posts on the subreddit include some from folks who caught their partners cheating, although many come from people trying to ease their guilt by confessing their sins, albeit anonymously. For example one woman insists her cheating isn’t bad because she “is allowed to have fun” and her beau “is just not exciting.” Another claims to cheat on his girlfriend six times a month, or “every opportunity he gets.”
Other posts provide cheating tips and advice, including how to cover up a hickey, what to get as a gift for a mistress, and even where to find older women who want to hook up with a younger man.
There are even some who are considering confessing to their cheating, although when asked if they should most members try and talk them out of it. When on person asked if she was “morally obligated” to confess her infidelity, most agreed that if she didn’t get caught, why bother. As one person noted, “The only person who will feel better after the discussion will be you.”
