This Chick-Fil-A Is Offering Free Food For Coins

I’m sure you’ve heard that there is a coin shortage in the country right now. Well, at least one Chick-Fil-A has found a unique way to restock their coin inventory, and the public will be rewarded for it.

Tomorrow in the city of Lynchburg, Virginia, the Chick-fil-A franchise will be giving away free food to anyone who brings in $10 worth of change. Customers who bring in $10 of rolled coins between 9 am and 11 am and 2 pm and 4 pm will not only get a $10 bill in return, they’ll get a voucher for a free entree, with the store limiting customers to 10 coupons.

Sadly, this promotion is not nationwide, since Chick-fil-As are independently owned and operated, but the company does support it. They said in a statement, “Due to the decrease in coin circulation nationwide, some restaurants may choose to offer incentives like this one to ensure they maintain enough coins to provide guests proper change, should they choose to pay with cash.”

And they aren’t the only ones offering incentives for coins. Some 7-Elevens are offering free Sluprees to anyone who trades in $5 in change for $5 in cash.
