Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all timeframe to start dating again, but fortunately, there are some signs experts say you can look out for that mean you're ready.

But when you can look back at things like a learning process and think of a lesson you’ve taken away from your breakup, that’s definitely a good sign.
- You're Ready To Be A Good Partner.According to relationship coach Rosalind Sedacca, you really need to “do the inner work first.” That means forgiving yourself for the choices you made in your past relationship and forgiving your ex for the hurt they caused. Until you can do that, you’re not going to be much of a partner for anyone since you’ll be dragging that baggage with you wherever you go.
- You're Enjoying Being Alone.It may seem counterintuitive, but you're usually ready to get out and see someone when you’re okay with staying in by yourself and doing your own thing. That means you’re in a good headspace since you don't mind being alone with your own thoughts and also you’re not going out and dating for the wrong reasons. For example, jumping back into things with someone simply because you don’t want to be single.Talk about setting yourself up for failure.So basically, wait until you can binge-watch a whole season of something on Netflix without sobbing before swiping right on anyone.
