We recently told you about Motorworks Brewing in Florida teaming up with local shelters to use dogs’ photos on beer cans to help them get adopted and now we’re happy to report that a woman in Minnesota has been reunited with her lost dog thanks to those cans. It turns out, Day Day, one of the dogs featured on the cans, had a microchip when she came to the Manatee County Animal Services, but the information was out of date.
The shelter tried to reach Day Day’s registered owner, Monica Mathis, but couldn’t. Fortunately, she saw her pet that had been missing for three years on Facebook and was able to provide proof that Day Day was actually her Hazel and she’s now been reunited with her. It’s unclear how the pooch ended up in Florida, but Hazel is now on her way back to her grateful owner in Minnesota.
