A handful of Amazon customers who ordered Nintendo Switches on Black Friday were surprised to find condoms, batteries, and other strange products at their doorsteps, according to reports. The International Business Times reported that at least 12 people in the U.K. seeking the video game system, home to Super Mario, Zelda and other beloved characters, were affected by the Mushroom Kingdom mix-up. One online shopper, Viki Carpenter, received comfy linens instead of the popular gaming console, according to the Mirror. ”Ordered a Nintendo switch for our son for Christmas, delivery today and in the box is a bed sheet we never ordered,” she wrote. An Amazon deal-hunter who found contraception in place of the family-friendly Nintendo product fumed on Twitter over the incident. “Yo is this a sick joke? I ordered a Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons and send me “F”ing condoms…” he said. The tech giant issued a statement after the string of botched orders, saying, “We’re really sorry about that and are investigating exactly what’s happened. We’re reaching out to every customer who’s had a problem and made us aware so we can put it right. Anyone who has had an issue with any order can contact our customer services team for help.”
