There’s an old saying about “revenge is a dish best served cold.” But what about a good prank? That’s just awesome. Ask Briton Karen Dineen, who discovered that Terry Lovell, her husband of 19 years had been having a longtime affair with her best friend, Carol Mitchell! After discovering some naughty texts, she kicked him to the curb.
While cleaning out the home she and her ex shared, Dineen found her wedding gown. Rather than donate it to charity...she decided to gift it...to her former BFF. Delivering it to Carol’s porch, she also left this note: and left a note with it that read: “Hey Carol, I know you love secondhand goods, so thought you might like the dress I wore when I married your boyfriend. Love, Karen xx”
Dineen says she was “shaking like a kid at Christmas with excitement” when she left the dress, and while Terry won’t pay for a divorce, she’s gone back to her maiden name and moved on (which is cheaper than a divorce). “When I chucked him out I got a Chihuahua,” she laughs. “He’s cleaner, more loyal and more faithful. I got the better end of the deal there. Win-win.”
