Felicity Huffman Finds Out Her Fate Today
Felicity Huffman is making history today as the first person to be sentenced for her role in the college admissions scandal. In case you forgot, the Oscar nominee paid $15 thousand dollars to boost the SAT scores of he her daughter, Sophia. She took a deal where she pleaded guilty to committing mail fraud and honest services fraud.
Federal prosecutors would like to see Felicity serve a month in prison and pay a $20-thousand dollar fine. As for the probation officials, they’re not recommending a sentence because there’s no victim and no actual or intended loss.
On the flipside, if Huffman’s lawyers have their way, she’ll pay the fine and spend a year on probation and perform 250 hours of community service.
