I didn't write this but it's so easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget what it is that fulfills us. So, here is that reminder. Thanks, Ladders
"Find your calling.” It’s a phrase that we’ve heard countless times. But is it fair to put that kind of pressure on someone? It’s like an Easter egg hunt except you don’t know where to look…or even WTF you’re looking for.
So…why not create yourself? Think about exactly what you want your life to look like 10 or 20 years from now, and come up with small, simple steps to get there. The gaps that you’re unsure of will fill themselves in as you go, so don’t be afraid to jump in. Don’t get overwhelmed with the small details right now. And don’t be afraid to fail…we learn our best lessons and grow within failure.
As long as you come up with an overall plan and start practicing it as best you can right now, you’re already on the path – so take it the rest of the way! Here:
· Say you want to work in film…go buy a camera and start making fun videos for yourself(or YouTube).
· If you eventually want children, babysit for your sister and see how that fits.
· If you want to live abroad, scope out some destinations, find cheap deals and sample the places you want to eventually consider settling down in.
Everything that you do today, affects who you’ll be tomorrow. You just have to get up and do it.
