Francis Stefanski & Mary Stefanski of Regina Pools & Spas

Francis Stefanski

Fran was born and raised in Dundalk, Maryland to Anthony "Tony" and Mary Stefanski. They ran a local hardware store on Wise Avenue and lived above the shop. Fran is one of five sons, four who went on to start and run their own successful businesses in Baltimore. Fran got his drive and dedication to take care of others from his parents.

After attending Archbishop Curley High School and graduating from the University of Maryland in 1973 he saw his neighbor having issues with their pool builder. Fran looked at the work and said that he could build it better. The neighbor whose name was George, being familiar with Fran's quality of work, gave him the use of his pick up truck and advice. With a loan from his dad to get a license and insurance to create the business, G&F Improvements Inc. began.

Fran went on to meet the love of his life, Regina, through his business manager and sister-in-law, Mary. Fran promised to put Regina’s name in lights one day as they started working out of the basement of their home and Regina Pools & Spas was born! In 1982, Fran started selling Hot Spring Spas and in 1983 he opened a showroom at 2066 York Road in Timonium. The first night the sign was installed Fran went home to bring Regina to see her name in lights. He had one hot tub to show in the showroom . Today he has expanded the location and now shows twelve Hot Spring hot tubs, three Finnleo saunas, and one PDC swim spa along with a full water care retail area. He established a service department to care for and maintain pools, hot tubs, saunas, and swim spas.

Fran has built a household name in the Baltimore community because of the excellent team of professionals that work here. The respectful relationship between Fran and his team members allows customer service to thrive. He has won numerous pool and hot tub design accolades in the industry along with a Territory Dealer of the Year Award. He has given back by being a youth minister, coaching Lutherville Timonium Rec Council (LTRC) basketball and baseball teams for his children, and being a sponsor for many local rec sports teams. Together Fran, Regina, and Mary have built hundreds of pools, installed thousands of hot tubs and placed saunas & swim spas in the backyards of Maryland. They have brought fun, relaxation, wellness, and a place for families to enjoy one another for over 50 years and counting.

Mary Stefanski

Daughter of owners, Fran and Regina Stefanski, Mary is the second generation to work at and manage Regina Pools & Spas. Growing up with a hot tub and pool, health and wellness has always been a passion that she planned to make into a career. She wants everyone to live a better life through the power of water and heat.

Born and raised in Lutherville, Mary has grown up running around the Regina showroom, stocking shelves, running water tests, and helping customers find the items they need to make their staycation goals a reality.

After attending Mercy High School and the University of Dayton for undergrad, Mary attended Hot Springs’ sales boot camp, Top Gun, where she was asked to return as a student instructor. Her sauna designs are featured on finnleo.comand used in marketing material around the United States. Recently she was a part of the sales team that earned a spot in the top 10 PDC swim spa dealers in the country for 2023.

At Regina Pools, Mary has done it all. She wears many hats where she helps open pools, conducts sales presentations and hot tub deliveries, and helps run day-to-day operations. There isn't much she hasn't done. We are proud to have her carry on the legacy of Regina Pools & Spas.
