Mask Mandates Are Returning To Disneyland

Disneyland 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Disneyland Resort is once again requiring all staff and guests wear masks indoors — regardless of vaccination status. So if you have plans to head to the park starting tomorrow make sure you make up anytime you are indoors.

The updated mask mandate news comes as COVID-19 cases are skyrocketing in parts of the country due to the highly contagious Delta variant. Los Angeles itself has put an indoor mask mandate back in place, and while Orange County has yet to do so overall, Disneyland is taking precautions.

Beginning TOMORROW, July 30th, face coverings are required for all guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors, including on many attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles like shuttles and buses, regardless of vaccination status.

Face coverings remain optional for all guests in outdoor common areas, though if you are unvaccinated, I would be careful in crowded areas, even outdoors. The same rule applies to the Florida resort.

Of course the mask mandate comes after California has made moves toward an all over indoor mask mandate again, and as the CDC backed up people - regardless of vaccination status - wear masks indoors again.

Look, we don’t want to go backwards to the point of having to shut down again so if we must start wearing masks again at Disney... vaccinated or not, I’m here for it! At this point we're all pretty used to the mask mandates so I think we can handle wearing them indoors while enjoying Disneyland, right?! Right.
