South Lakes High School Students Stage Walkout In the Aftermath of Florida Shooting

Roughly 350 students at South Lakes High School took part in a walkout at noon today to remember the 17 people killed last week at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Students left the school and stood outside for 17 minutes before returning for class or lunch, school officials said.

U.S. Wins First Olympic Gold Medal In Women's Cross-Country Skiing

The gold was the first ever won by the United States in women’s cross-country skiing which really puts into perspective what Norwegian skier Marit Bjoergen did when she and teammate Maiken Caspersen Falla captured bronze in the same event—becoming the most decorated Winter Olympian of all time with 14 career medals at the Winter Olympic Games.

Cinemark: No more large bags, packages at theaters

Starting today you will no longer be allowed to bring large bags into Cinemark theaters, starting Thursday, Feb. 22.

On their website, the movie theater company said they are banning packages or bags that measure larger than 12" x 12" x 6" -- seemingly equal to a large tote bag.

The exception: medical equipment bags and diaper bags will still be allowed.
