California Wildfires Continue To Take Lives

The deadliest wildfires in California's history continue taking a toll. CAL Fire investigators are working to learn whether fatigue might have caused the death of a water truck driver, the 41st death from the fires. 

Meanwhile, some evacuation orders have been lifted near Sonoma as fire officials say they’re tackling a second problem: drones. Fire officials are pleading with residents to stop flying drones in the fire zone due to the danger they pose to firefighting aircraft.

NYPD Investigating Two "Credible" Allegations Against Weinstein

New York Police say they’re investigating two credible allegations against Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. A senior law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the matter also says the allegations currently under investigation are different from the 2015 NYPD investigation featured in last week's "New Yorker".

The two allegations date back over ten years. At last count, more than 40 women have come forward to share their stories of abuse and worse at Weinstein’s hand.

Netflix to spend up to $8 billion on programming next year

The company said Monday that it will spend as much as $8 billion on shows and movies in 2018. "We have a good head start, but our job is to improve Netflix as rapidly as possible ... to stay ahead of the competition in the decades to come," the company said in its earnings release Monday.

Wi-Fi security has been breached!!!!

At about 7AM ET yesterday morning researchers revealed details of a new exploit called KRACK that takes advantage of vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi security. 

KRACK lets attackers eavesdrop on traffic between computers and wireless access points. “If your device supports Wi-Fi, it is most likely affected,” say researchers.

Starbucks To Introduce Halloween-Themed Zombie Frappuccino

A blog run by a former Starbucks barista claims the chain plans to roll out what they’re calling the Zombie Frappuccino. It will feature bright colors, with a “Green Caramel Apple Powder” another pink powder, and pink “brains” whipped cream. It will only be available from October 26th to 31st.
