Category 5 Hurricane Irma's Top Winds Now 180 Miles An Hour

With most of my family and close friends in Florida I am SO WORRIED that they wont do the right thing and evacuate. Irma is now a category 5 hurricane with winds of up to 185 miles per hour. To put this into perspective, Katrina was a category 3 when it hit.

Irma is being describes at potentially catastrophic and possibly causing the most damage the US has ever seen. Rainfall could be up to ten inches with 15-20 inches of storm surges.

Governor Rick Scott said "If there are evacuation orders voluntary or mandatory please follow them...we can rebuild your house, we can not rebuild your life." Scott warned that if Irma hits the Sunshine State it could bring life-threatening storm surges, wind and rain. Scott also announced that President Trump has approved a pre-landfall emergency declaration, freeing up federal funding to prepare for Irma. Scott has already activated 100 National Guard members and is ordering nearly seven-thousand more to report for duty Friday morning.

I wish this awesome program had been around when I transitioned my son's carseat.

Target's popular car seat trade-in program is making its way back to stores this month. When shoppers drop off an old car seat for recycling, they'll receive a 20% off coupon for their next car seat purchase, which includes eligible boosters, car seat bases, car seats and travel systems.

Guests can drop off the seats at most stores nationwide between September 10 and 23, and have until October 7 to redeem their coupons.
