Well it's official Carrie Underwood is the new judge on American Idol. She will be replacing Katy Perry who rannounced her exit earlier this year.
Underwood was the winner of "American Idol" Season 4 in 2005. Since then she has appeared on the show several times as a mentor, and also performed on the show’s season finale in 2022.
Katy Perry spent seven seasons on the show, ever since it moved to ABC in 2018.
