If you are using ChatGPT to write your resume, there is a good chance that recruiters can tell.
The biggest tell that you are using ChatGPT is that is reads like every other job application, because so many people are doing the same thing.
RED FLAGS:
- It sounds Robotic, like you copy & pasted. There are words that you wouldn't use if you had written it yourself, or no real-life examples or experiences.
- Everyone using the same formula/template or examples
- Lack of editing-- Some will like the "(insert information here)" which is a dead giveaway
ChatGPT can be a great tool to help you craft your resume, but it shouldn't be used as the final draft that you submit with an application.
