Have you ever wondered why you keep seeing the same people's stories first on Instagram before your actual friends? Turns out there's a reason why!
Instagram apparently uses an algorithm with machine learning to track what accounts you like, comment, and reply to the most and uses these behavior patterns to populate your Instagram Stories feed.
The same algorithm also populates your IG feed, but other factors that influence who pops up first on the top part of your Instagram is whose story you click on when you see they have a new one.
Instagram also has a tendency to order Stories from newest to oldest, but your mileage may vary with that. However, at the end of the day, if you’re tired of seeing the same person's stories then you may just want to take a break from interacting with their content!
