These Two Kids Found Gold Bars Hidden In Their Fort During Lockdown!

Pile of gold bars or ingots on a dark background

If you haven’t checked your backyard for gold or hidden treasures then you might want to because two french kids recently came across over $100,000 worth of gold while playing in their tree fort!

According to local media, the children who were both 10 years old were staying with an older relative in Vendome, France during the coronavirus lockdown and were told to build a fort outside using things they found around the house.

Obviously you need sheets to make a good hidden fort so they grabbed several sheets, but wrapped up in one of the sheets were two gold bars that weighed about two pounds each.

The parents of the kids contacted a local auctioneer and found out that the gold bars are worth over $108,000 combined if sold at auction.

Apparently the gold bars were the children's grandmothers who bought them in 1967, but had lost them!

Needless to say they're going to have a good vacation once coronavirus is over!
