What was supposed to be a summer internship has brought Intern John into the radios of millions. Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, John started interning at his local radio station right out of high school. He had his first break on-air after he printed off his own baseball cards to hand out at events; his marketing degree was paying off.

While not actually an intern, “Intern” John has become a fan favorite on HOT 99.5. His catchphrase, “My Man!” has become the show’s trademark, with listeners often saying it when they call in to the show. He’s your typical millennial, trying to find his way in the world. John always says what’s on his mind, and says what you’re thinking but are too afraid to say. Listeners also love John because he can put a smile on anyone’s face.

Aside from his duties on the air, John has also done three national comedy tours raising over $25,000 for the Fisher House Foundation. He also coaches high school hockey, and you can hear his Thought Shower podcast with Sos three times a week.

While he doesn’t have any kids, he calls his dog, Chuy, the “love of his life”.
