N64 And Sega Genesis Games Are Coming To The Nintendo Switch

It feels like forever since rumors started popping up about the Nintendo Switch adding Nintendo 64 (N64) games to its virtual console system and now it's a reality thanks to the most recent Nintendo Direct presentation!

Nintendo Switch Online, the console's online subscription service, is adding a new membership tier that will let you play N64 AND Sega Genesis games starting in late October.

That means classics like Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Strider will all be playable without having to figure out how to hook up your old consoles to your HD TV.

As of right now there is no price for the new membership tier, but you can buy a modernized version of the N64 and Genesis controllers in the meantime. Here are the games that will be playable when the service launches:
