Laura Herrington relocated to Indiana County, PA from Pittsburgh in 1995 to start a family and serve as innkeeper at her family-owned bed and breakfast.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, it is as an innkeeper that Laura’s interest in the tourism industry blossomed. “I feel that the years of welcoming visitors and assisting them with exploring the area allowed me to learn about the community and the quality of life enjoyed in Indiana County,” she explained.
Herrington joined the Indiana County Tourist Bureau in 2014 as a Financial Associate/Marketing Coordinator, was promoted to Office Manager, and then named Interim Executive Director in 2021. Now in her current role as Executive Director, Herrington is looking forward to developing new promotional opportunities for Indiana County including the meeting, conference and group markets. Another important focus for Herrington is strengthening her relationship with industry partners, community leaders and local businesses and organizations.
