David McShea is the executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Maryland & Delaware Chapters, which provides programs and services to those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia. McShea became the executive director of the Maryland Chapter in June 2020, and Delaware in February 2026. He previously worked at the American Diabetes Association for 16 years, most recently as the executive director of the Maryland Chapter and also led the National Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes fundraiser for diabetes programs and research. He is a proud member of The Leadership’s Longest Class Ever, 2020/2021 and Leadership Maryland Executive Program Class of 2025. In his free time, he writes songs and sings in a band with lifelong friends. He resides in Catonsville with his wife, Jennifer, and their two cats Kylo and Rey.
