Kathleen McNally Durkin, MS

Kathleen Durkin is the Chief Executive Officer of The Arc Baltimore, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Baltimore, which supports over 1,100 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their families. She brings 45 years of experience in the disability field to her leadership role.

Kathleen earned a Master of Science in Special Education with a concentration in Business from Johns Hopkins University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and philosophy from the University of Scranton.

She is a graduate of Leadership Baltimore County, the Leadership at the Peak program through the Center for Creative Leadership, and the Work Wisdom Academy.  In recognition of her contributions and impact, she was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record in 2015 and one of their Most Admired CEOs in 2024.

Kathleen currently serves on the board of Leadership Baltimore County and is an Emeritus board member of the Maryland Association of Community Services. She is also an appointed Commissioner on the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities and an active member of the Executive Alliance.
