Shelonda Stokes, President, Downtown Partnership of Baltimore

Shelonda Stokes is the newly appointed President of Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and CEO of the Downtown Management Authority. Combined, these non-profits have a multi-million-dollar budget and programs that make the heart of Baltimore a more dynamic place where businesses, people, and culture thrives. She also currently co-chairs Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young’s Small Business Recovery Taskforce, leading Baltimore’s economic COVID recovery.

Shelonda is a results-oriented professional known throughout the country as a strategic and creative visionary. Prior to her new role, she spent the last twenty years as President & CEO of greiBO, a full-service marketing and entertainment agency. Under her leadership, greiBO earned a place in the world of communications with numerous awards and services to industry leaders and global markets.

This sought-after thought leader and businesswoman is the recipient of over 85 community and professional awards. She’s on speed dial and serves as a critical advisor for an elite list of Fortune 100 CEOs, elected officials, and other dignitaries. greiBO’s growing impressive client list is the result of her management and greiBO’s culture of engaging people to look, listen, and believe. An Electrical Engineer by degree, Shelonda is often referred to as the connoisseur of creative events and productions. Before Michelle Obama’s youth fitness initiative, Shelonda led the charge with the creation of an award-winning kid fitness program, Letz Kickit! Former Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake also recognized Shelonda for her commitment to the City by transforming Baltimore’s debt-ridden African American Festival to a nationally recognized signature event with over 400k attendees and an average $18M yearly economic impact. Other key projects include designing and managing Under Armour’s onsite brand activations throughout the country as well as the annual Associated Black Charities Gala attracting over 1,000 of the region’s most affluent business leaders.
