Warner Brothers has reportedly made a decision on Amber Heard's future with the DC movie franchise, but the actress has denied these reported rumors.

Heard's role will be recast, the film company decided after screentesting the movie, a source told Just Jared. "They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman," the insider said. Additionally, the actress recast in Heard's former role for Aquaman 2 will also play Mera in any future DC films.

Heard, however, said it's just a rumor. A spokesperson for Heard told TMZ, "The rumor mill continues as it has from Day One — inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane." The news outlet reported all of Heard's scenes as Mera were shot a year ago and she's already been paid her $2 million.

As for how much screentime Heard is actually getting in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, that's still unknown. TMZ reported her screentime was "cut down significantly," which was seemingly confirmed by DC President Walter Hamada in court.

The news comes about two weeks after Heard's trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp came to an end. After three days of deliberations, the seven-person jury in Fairfax, Virginia, reached a unanimous decision in favor of Johnny Depp, voting "yes" in all cases. The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. The jury also found in favor of Heard, who was awarded $2 million in her defamation countersuit case which claims she was defamed by Depp's lawyer when he said her abuse allegations were a hoax.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to hit theaters on March 17, 2023. You can take a look at the first footage from the movie below:
