Wordle literally saves lives.
It was a daily occurrence for an unnamed woman in & her 80-year-old mother to share their Wordle scores with each other. But when the daughter failed to receive a response from her mother, she became worried and called the police.
Law enforcement showed up to the elderly woman's home to do a wellness check and when they arrived, they saw a broken window and blood. They found the woman naked in her basement being held hostage and upon further searching, detected the suspect on the second flood. The suspect possessed several knives and additional forces were called to bring them into custody.
Police believe the suspect had a mental episode and did not know the victim. The suspect was charged with multiple felonies, including home invasion with a dangerous weapon, aggravated kidnapping while armed with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault against a peace officer.
