TMZ has shared that Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has filed a lawsuit against Hampton Inn & Suites after being pinned down by a door in one of their hotel rooms a year and a half ago.

Miller has been wheelchair bound since being diagnosed with lymphoma in 2018 & while she was exiting the bathroom in her room at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Santa Monica in August 2020, her wheel got caught underneath of the sliding door, TMZ reports. Unfortunately for Miller while she was attempting to free her chair from the door, it instead became unhinged and fell on top of her. The 300lb door pinned Miller underneath of her wheelchair and it is believed she was trapped for 6-12 minutes before help arrived. She was then hospitalized and has since been participating in physical therapy for her head and shoulder.

TMZ says that Miller is seeing at least $8.5 million for negligence, emotional distress, discrimination and false imprisonment. TMZ has reached out to Hampton Inn & Suites and has not yet been given a response.
