Actress Christina Applegate revealed on Twitter overnight (August 10) that earlier this year, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some asshole blocks it.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society describes MS as "an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body."
At this time, there is no cure for MS but it can be managed. Nearly 1 million people in the United States are currently living with an MS diagnosis.
