For the second year in a row, the city of Baltimore has elected to not have the firework display and 4th of July celebration in the Inner Harbor.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts (BOPA) cites the pandemic as the reason behind the event's cancellation but they hope that they will be able to resume festivities for New Year's Eve.

In addition, Artscape 2021 has also been cancelled for 2021. According to WBAL, Artscape would bring upwards of 300,000 people to the city but for this year "the health and safety of Baltimore citizens is our primary concern."
