Remains of Missing Baltimore Woman Have Been Recovered

Truly heartbreaking.

The remains of missing "Savannah" Tara Payne have been discovered in the harbor of Baltimore's Canton neighborhood.

Rachael Cardin of WJZ tweeted that she was located by Dockside Circle and that Baltimore Police have said that her body will be transported to the medical examiner for an autopsy.

Payne went missing in the early hours of March 23 after going to celebrate 26th birthday. She was last seen along O’Donnell Street in Canton Square and her purse was recovered on Boston Street.

Her father, Jimmy Payne, spoke with WJZ and shared that he saw surveillance video from cameras in the area and as a prior Rescue One diver and captain, he understood why divers were searching the particular area.

Anyone with information on Payne’s case are urged to contact the Southeast District’s Missing Person Unit at 410-396-2422 or simply dial 911.
