Mötley Crüe Confirms 2020 Tour, Blows Up "Stupid" Retirement Contract

Mötley Crüe is back and that "cessation of touring" contract they've been asked about for the last year has been blown to smithereens.

After news broke Monday morning that rumors about a reunion were true, the band's official social media accounts shared a Machine Gun Kelly-narrated video, titled "Mötley Crüe Is Back!", explaining that the band is determined to perform live again for its "legion" of new fans.

Kelly, who played Tommy Lee in The Dirt and featured on the film's title track, explains that it became clear this year that no Crüeheads actually cared about that "stupid" contract.

The video concludes with the contract being blown up in an empty office as "Kickstart My Heart" begins to play. You can check it out above or here.

Mötley Crüe is reportedly preparing to head out on a stadium tour of the U.S. next year with Def Leppard and Poison in tow.

The reunion news comes after years of denials by the band members that they would void the contract and tour again. But after an admission by Nikki Sixx that the band members became friends again while working on the movie and recording new music for its soundtrack, a reunion tour seemed possible.

Frontman Vince Neil downplayed reunion rumors last week, saying that the band hadn't been in touch since the premiere of The Dirt.

Tour dates have not been announced yet, but you can look for more information here.

The band is also suggesting fans sign up for text updates here.
