The excessive winds have caused a halt to traffic if you're heading toward the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The Maryland Transportation Authority has temporarily closed down the Bay Bridge and Tydings Bridge due to their policy of winds over 55MPH lasting for longer than 10 minutes.
(US 50/301) Bay Bridge is reopening to traffic. FULL restrictions are back in place. The 1-877-BAYSPAN (229-7726) hotline remains down due to excessive winds. #mdtraffic #MDOTnews pic.twitter.com/TiMdUOGSgJ— MDTA (@TheMDTA) March 2, 2018
