These Are The Questions Your Date Wants You To Ask!

For those of us who aren’t genetically or financially gifted, the world of app-based dating can be a major crotch kick. That means you’ve got to bring your A-game when it comes to introductions after you’ve gotten that ever-elusive “match.” That’s where knowing the right questions to ask comes into play. They can make you appear interested, engaged, and curious…and give your prospective date the chance to talk about themselves and what they want out of it all.

Here are the five questions they’re really wanting you to ask:

  • “What are you looking for?” –Try to hit with this one before they hit you with it. It’s a great way to find out if you’re going to be a fit for each other, manage expectations, and avoid problems in the future.
  • “What’s your first-date policy?”– It helps to know what the parameters are going in. That way you don’t blow it by doing the wrong things right off the bat…because you didn’t know there were rules.
  • “What’s the worst first-date you’ve ever been on?”– This gives them a chance to tell a story and hopefully share a laugh over it. Plus, it’ll make you feel better because it’s hopefully something you’ve never done.
  • “What’s been your online dating experience?”– Maybe it’s been good. Maybe it’s been bad. There’s always a story, though. Their answer can also give you clues on how you can avoid being the next “that guy.”
  • “What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to ask a guy?”– This is a good opener…just make sure you’re ready to answer the question. Just don’t feel obligated to speak on behalf of your entire gender. Your personal thoughts and experience should serve you just fine.
