You’ve probably noticed a lot more men with facial hair in recent weeks. That’s because it’s No Shave November, when men throw out the razor and let their beards and mustaches grow in. But is that new scruffy look affecting a man’s dating life? Well, according to a new poll, possibly...but for the better.
A new survey of Dating.com users finds:
- 68% of users like facial hair on men, saying it makes them look more masculine and mature.
- When it comes to online dating, men with facial hair in one or more of their profile pictures received three-times more matches than those without.
- 65% of those polled find a little scruff or a five o’clock shadow to be the most attractive type of facial hair.
- But it’s important for men to take care of their beards, with 77% saying it’s a turn off if it’s not properly groomed.
- And if you’re gonna grow out your facial hair, go all the way, with 45% of those who like facial hair saying they don’t like a man with a mustache only.
- On a positive note, less than 5% of people say they would never date someone with facial hair.
