A bride in England was almost late to her own wedding, but with a little help from the local police, she did make it to the church on time. Jenna Bassam was being driven in a vintage Jaguar when it broke down on the side of the road. She says it was raining and she “started to panic,” fortunately her dad was with her and reassured her by telling her “it’s all part of the adventure.”
After a few anxious minutes, police arrived and officers waited with the car while the bride got a lift from her mom. Meanwhile, the groom,Craig, was “pacing around the church” when he heard she was delayed. Jenna was only 20 minutes late, despite the car trouble.
And after the couple tied the knot, they got another surprise when they walked outside the church - the police were waiting with their lights on, ready to drive the newlyweds to their reception. The groom says the unplanned events made their wedding day “unforgettable” and the new Mrs. says the journey was “magical.”
